Hino is excited to add the XL Series of heavy-duty trucks to their popular and proven stable of medium duty trucks. Production of both the XL7 and XL8 has begun in Hino’s newly renovated, 1 million square foot facility in Mineral Wells, West Virginia, as well as its plant in Woodstock, Ontario Canada.
Power & Hauling
The XL class seven and eight trucks will both be powered by newly developed 8.9-liter A09C six-cylinder diesel engine, providing 300hp to 360hp, as well as maximum torque ranges from 900 lb-ft to 1,150 lb-ft. Transmissions options include an Allison automatic and a manual version by Eaton.
Hino said its XL Series will be offered in a host of straight truck and tractor configurations, ranging from a GVWR of 33,000 to 60,000 lbs. and GCWR up to 66,000 lbs. which allows Hino to cover a much broader range of hauling requirements.
Technology & Safety
Aside from the power and hauling capacities, the XL series offers a wide range of technical and safety features such as collision mitigation system, lane departure warning, and electronic stability control. Once inside the cab, the driver will experience a host of comfort features designed for miles of comfort and safety. Technology like Hands Free Bluetooth calling and audio, Steering Wheel controls, LCD information screen, and Cruise control sets Hino apart.
Value & Warranty
Hino has long been known for its superior warranty and the XL Series makes the cost of ownership value even greater with programs like:
- Hino Insight: telematics, remote diagnostics, case management.
- HinoWatch 24/7 Assistance: Standard for three years, unlimited mileage. You’ll be protected against locking yourself out, battery incidents, warranty towing, and even running out of fuel.
- Hino Care: Preventative maintenance in a convenient program package to make your truck work harder, longer.
