Many trucks will be denied registration next year as a result of a new rule that goes into effect starting in 2020. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will require confirmation from the California Air Resource Board (CARB) that commercial trucks over 14,000 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) are in compliance with the air quality rules before permitting registration.
CARB is reaching out to businesses whose truck records show their vehicles are out of compliance. If you have received a notice or if you believe you have a vehicle that is out of compliance with the new 2020 CARB Regulations, we can help.
